Syd Barrett, a founding member of Pink Floyd, has died aged 60.
This week (12 Juy 2006 )is dedicated to SYD BARRETT .
If he didn’t give us PINK ***K** Floyd what on earth wud we have heard!
Floyd on one side = rest of the music in this world on the other.

Lets meet for Barrett this weekend :

As a tribute to Syd, I will be playing only Floyd (not that I don’t everyday) this weekend,
his solo albums Barret and his songs from harvest festival and earlier albums of Floyd.

People who want to be a part of this can join in.

What to expect:

Ice cold holy smoke down your throat with cold beer to rinse u r mouth.

Reading = Sexiness! How sexy are u?

I love reading. Wish i had more time in life to read. So everytime i read something interesting, who else can i talk with but you two? I love sharing art with people ….esp who apprieciate that & take the effort to look for it… i sometimes take books from library for other people…there r 3 books that i have checked out for my friends. i can always reccomend them books…but people forget & everyone is so busy …so i figured the best thing is if i think someone will love this book i check out from the public library & give it to them…this way they end up reading it & love the fact that i did so much effort for them to read a book….BOOKS are great…Reading books makes u aware, intelligent & conscious… which makes you sexy!

BTW i saw a documentary last night THE GROUND TRUTH. Its a series of interviews of Iraqi War veterans. very nice. Rahul You must watch it.
WATER is nominated for best foreign film. Its such a bad fuckin film. Too bad the goras dont get it. Any foreign film which shows the problems of that country is loved by these goras. it makes them feel good i guess that their world is much better than what they see on screen. I’m not saying we should not expose the problems we have in our society, infact as filmmakers or artists that our responsibility. But a bad film is a bad film.

Space Capsule or FOOD for poor?

Its really great the progress India is making. I’m so proud of it. But at the same time we should not forget the problems we have. And I’m not asking the government to do much either. I have come to realize that its upto us citizens to make changes in society.
I heard it on radio yesterday -
” Never underestimate the power of a group of commited people to change the world, No one else has.”
So every time we read about our achievements in space research & stock market boom, we should at that very moment also think about all the poor people who will never benefit from all these achievements. And make a promise to ourself to do something to make this a better place. If not right now, tommorow.
I think you guyz must be thinking i’ve become a communist. I’m definitely leaning towards the left a bit. More so become of this administration we have here. But i’m still not a communist. I believe in free enterprise. I dont expect the govt to change our lifes…it is upto us.
